About the event
The autonomic nervous system (ANS) plays an important role in nearly every aspect of our health and wellbeing. Unfortunately, due to the numerous stressors that severely impact our nervous system on a daily basis, most of us remain stuck in a state of autonomic arousal and our system is unable to return to baseline. The prevalence of nervous system disregulation is the reason we see increasing cases of anxiety, burnout, insomnia, and stress-induced health problems.Â
Breathwork (conscious connected breathing) is a safe and effective technique for managing stress and resetting the nervous system. Through a regular, guided practice of breath excercises it is possible to retrain the body to enter a parasympathetic state (the branch of the ANS responsible for relaxation, digestion, and healing) and lessen the body's fight or flight response. Breathwork supports the body to return to a healthy baseline of wellbeing.Â
